Subject: Appeal for the immediate removal of the Governor of Sikkim under the shadow of grave allegations and moral accountability regarding the Ankita Bhandari murder case.

Hon'ble Rashtrapati Ji,

I am writing this letter as a concerned citizen of India, deeply tormented by the miscarriage of justice and the systematic shielding of impunity in the tragic murder of Ankita Bhandari.

In September 2022, 19-year-old Ankita Bhandari from Uttarakhand was brutally murdered because she had the supreme courage to refuse illicit "VIP" services demanded at a resort. Her tragic death shook the collective conscience of the nation. Yet, years later, her grieving parents are still fighting a lonely battle for truth and justice — and have been met with state apathy and detention when they peacefully sought answers in the national capital.

What deeply outrages millions of citizens across the country is the recent elevation of the individual shadowed by these grave allegations to a high constitutional office — Governor of Sikkim.

The office of the Governor is a custodian of constitutional morality, public trust, and democratic dignity. Elevating someone facing such serious public clouds of suspicion to this exalted seat sets a dangerous and unacceptable precedent. It sends a chilling message to the daughters of India that justice can be bypassed and power can shield complicity.

As the supreme guardian of our Constitution, the President of India holds the solemn duty to protect the moral integrity of public offices and uphold the rule of law.

Therefore, I urgently appeal to your esteemed office to:

1. Take immediate cognizance of this grave moral and public crisis.
2. Exercise your constitutional authority to recall and remove the appointee from the office of the Governor.
3. Ensure that the pursuit of uncompromised, transparent justice for Ankita Bhandari is not buried under political shielding.

The conscience of the nation is watching. We look up to Rashtrapati Bhavan to uphold justice, protect public trust, and stand firmly with the victim's family against impunity.
